Black Bear COokies
​From Ann and Tom

You can do it by hand but it’s a lot easier with a big stand mixer. Best with a bear shaped cookie cutter.

Ingredients
1 Cup butter
1 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup molasses
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
4 Cups flour (white whole wheat)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in molasses, egg and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together and stir them in. Gather the dough together and refrigerate in a plastic bag at least a couple of hours. Cut off a chunk of dough, roll it out and use your cookie cutters.

​Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. If you sprinkle the cooled cookies with confectioner’s sugar they become grizzly bears. There will be plenty to share.
